Note: This recipe comes to us from Gigi Evans of Macon, Ga., and embraces one
of Georgia’s most popular pick-your-own fall fruits – apples! It was recently
featured on an episode of “Meals from the Field” on the Georgia Farm Monitor.

Ingredients:
¼ cup water
Juice of one lemon
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2.5 sticks butter, melted
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Fahrenheit.
2. Combine apples, water and lemon juice
in a lightly greased 8x8-inch baking dish.
3. In a bowl, combine oatmeal, flour,
brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour in the butter and stir to make a crumbly
mixture.
4.
Spread mixture evenly over apples and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the
topping is crisp and browned.
