Recall: Amberjack Fish Products Pulled, Could Cause Illness

Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary W. Black is alerting Georgians to the recall of certain fish products, sold at Harry's Farmers Market in Marietta, Ga.

Five customers reported symptoms of itching, diarrhea and vomiting. The cause of the illness is unknown at this time, but an investigation is ongoing. Anyone experiencing such symptoms should seek medical attention.

The recalled products are Wild Gulf Amberjack fillet, Wild Gulf Amberjack portion and Wild Whole Amberjack. These products were sold through March 15, 2014, in the fresh seafood case at the Harry's Farmers Market location at 70 Powers Ferry Road Southeast. Customers who purchased the product are instructed to discard it and bring in their receipt for a full refund.

Georgia Department of Agriculture inspectors are working to make sure the recalled product is removed from distribution.
