Call for Georgia Grown Gift Guide Submissions

This December, the Farmers and Consumers Market Bulletin will feature a new annual Georgia Grown Gift Guide, highlighting food and fiber gifts produced by Georgia Grown members. We will try to feature as many as possible in the print edition, and even more will be in the Bulletin Blog and on the Georgia Grown website.

In order to be considered for this guide, gifts must feature the Georgia Grown label, and we would love for them to be holiday-centric – a special Christmas gift basket, a limited-edition product only produced during the holiday season, etc. Regularly produced products, such as produce or juices bearing the Georgia Grown label, will not be able to be published in the gift guide. Due to space limitations, we also ask that only one item be submitted by each Georgia Grown member business.

If your farm or business would like to submit an item for the Georgia Grown gift guide, please send the following information to dallas.duncan@agr.georgia.gov no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2013:

  • High-resolution photo of item, 1 MB in file size or larger
  • Name of Georgia Grown member farm or business
  • Name of gift guide item
  • Brief description of item (20 words or less)
  • Item price
  • Where item can be bought (website, store location, Georgia Grown Christmas Showcase on Dec. 14)
  • Contact phone number and email, if applicable
We are very excited to be able to bring this gift guide to the Market Bulletin readership and provide another service to our Georgia Grown members. The gift guide will be published in the Dec. 11 issue and published online that same day.

Thank you for all you do to promote Georgia agriculture!
